About Pamela

Pamela Majteles is a Bay Area native who lives in Piedmont, California with her husband and three children. Prior to having a family, Pam had a career in the visual arts. Pam held positions at Christie’s New York in the American Paintings Department and at Walker Art Center in Minneapolis. While working at the Walker, Pam took exhibitions to leading museums around the world including Guggenheim Museum and Whitney Museum of American Art, both in New York City, San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, Museo Reina Sofia in Madrid and Lingotto Centre in Turin.

Pam is now working on a wide variety of writing projects and is a regular columnist for The Piedmonter in Piedmont, California where she writes a column called “Signs of Life”.

Pam is a graduate of Barnard College and, in addition to writing, is an active volunteer at her children’s schools. When time allows, Pam can be found walking the beaches of Northern California.
